Der große Abräumer bei der Verleihung der diesjährigen Eisner-Awards ist ohne Zweifel David Mazzuccheilli, der für sein Opus magnum "Asterios Polyp" gleich alle drei wichtigen Auszeichnungen abräumte.

Die vielleicht größte Überraschung stellt der Award für "Chew" als beste neue Serie dar, positiv auch die längst überfällige Anerkennung für Bryan Lee O'Malley.
